Berkie Palms Pty. Ltd. was established in 1998. We are a production nursery growing a wide range of advanced palms, cycads and foliage plants. We supply to landscapers, pool builders, developers and commercial projects as well as residential properties requiring a tropical landscape effect.
All stock has been grown at the nursery and is acclimatised for local conditions with advanced palms up in sizes up to 400-litre bags, available for large projects. Inspection is invited by appointment. View our Contact and Location pages to arrange an inspection.

Berkie Palms was established in 1998 by John Newell. It grew out of his passion for the tropical landscape and a perceived need to grow and supply palms, cycads, bromeliads and foliage plants, sun grown and acclimatised for the more temperate and sub-tropical areas of NSW. John is a Veterinarian and combines his love of animals and nature, creating a unique nursery with a wide range of tropicals, including many advanced palms and cycads suitable for commercial landscapes. He has lived at Eleebana for more than 40 years and the nursery is a life’s work. He is happy to share his knowledge with tropical enthusiasts or those just wanting a tropical garden.
